General Background
José Carlos has focused his practice on mergers and acquisitions, commercial and corporate law, corporate compliance, private international law, project finance and energy law, real estate and foreign investment.
He has advised various Mexican, US, Latin American, European and Asian industry-leading companies in sectors such as manufacturing, automotive, consumption products, pharmaceuticals and sport products. Jose Carlos has leaded multiple cross-border operations of M&A, project financing, real estate developments, energy projects and foreign investment, compliance, anti-corruption, diverse corporate financing operations, and in the restructuring and organization of corporations, conglomerates and family businesses.
Likewise, he has advised private and governmental associations and foundations, national and international, devoted to the protection of children and their education.

Practice Area
José Carlos joined Ramos, Ripoll & Schuster as a senior associate on August 01, 2018. Before joining RRS he practiced with the international law firm Cacheaux, Cavazos & Newton and the local boutique law firm Robles, Tostado, Corona & Sanchez Gil from 2008 to 2017, where he performed, coordinated and led legal actions and projects in the areas of corporate law, project finance, private international law, real estate, intellectual property and energy.
Currently he is an assistant professor of “Introduction to the Commercial Law and Corporations” at Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara.
