Juan Rafael is an experienced lawyer with over 12 years of practice, specializing in industrial property, intellectual property, and privacy matters across various industry sectors including automotive, consumer products, pharmaceutical-veterinary industry, and information technology, among others. He has advised and represented several companies in cross-border matters in cases of intangible asset protection, technology transfer, trade secret protection, and personal data transfers.
He has been recognized as an "Associate to Watch" by the publication Chambers and Partners in Intellectual Property in Mexico, he is authorized to act as an arbitrator in copyright disputes before INDAUTOR and has been certified by the National Association of Corporate Lawyers Jalisco (ANADE Jalisco - 2023).

He has been a speaker in several forums on Intellectual Property matters, for example, the Intellectual Property and Innovation Protection Diploma of the UTEG University (2022); the Industrial Property Diploma of the Mexican Bar Association (BMA) Jalisco in 2021; the XI Cycle of Conferences "Law in Economic and Administrative Sciences" 2020 with the topic "Intellectual Property and mass media" organized by University of Guadalajara; the 16th Encuentro Empresa Universidad organized by the Universidad del Golfo de California in Los Cabos and the workshop "The importance of the correct use of your trademark" at the Instituto Jalisciense del Emprendedor; and in several refresher courses organized by the Lawgic Academy.
He has authored and co-authored several articles published in Revista Consejero Empresarial, MarcaSur, LexLatin, and others of internal circulation and with clients related to intellectual and industrial property rights in the Firm.
