General Background
His practice focuses on corporate law, M&A, foreign investment, infrastructure, public contracting, transactional, restructuring and insolvency, and implementation of corporate governance. Alejandro has advised governments and public offices, as well as medium and large enterprises in the industries of agro, construction, energy, automotive, entertainment pharmaceutical, hospitality, real estate, among others.
Alejandro has provided advice for infrastructure and energy projects with a combined value of over $15 billion USD in locations such as Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru, Argentina, Cuba, Honduras, Nigeria and Malaysia; the projects include port terminals, regasification plants, roads, railways and high speed trains, dams, among others.

Academic and Professional Activities
Alejandro has 20 years of professional practice and currently is partner at RRS. Alejandro co-leads our Corporate & Business and Energy & Infrastructure practice teams. He began his professional career at Baker & McKenzie in the Corporate/M&A practice group.
Alejandro is counselor in several board of directors and corporate governance committees.
Currently, Alejandro is member of the Executive Committee of Legalink, global legal network of 70 independent law firms with over 3500 lawyers of 60 jurisdictions. Active member of the Mexican Bar Association, as member of the Executive Committee of the Jalisco Chapter.
Alejandro is a professor in the MBA of the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO) with the lecture Business Legal Stratergies. He has been professor and researcher in Alternative Dispute Resolution at the Universidad Panamericana, Guadalajara campus, Bussiness Legal Framework at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO). Former member of the Council of Young Entrepreneurs of the National Chamber of Commerce in Guadalajara. Former President of the U.S.-Mexico Bar Association, UP Guadalajara chapter. Mexican delegate to the Global Sales Law Project of the University of Basel, Switzerland. Translator for the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNICTRAL) on the subject of national and international decisions on international sales transactions. Guest professor at the University of San Diego for the Thorsnes International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition as Foreign Arbitrator.
