General Background
Rubén Darío Gómez Arnaiz graduated in Law from the Escuela Libre de Derecho. He received his Master’s degree in International Law at Strasburg University, in France. He is currently working on his PhD thesis for the Universidad Panamericana.
Graduate of the 9th Commercial Arbitration Diploma of ICC Mexico. Former partner in the Gómez Arnaiz Law Firm. Current partner at Ramos, Ripoll & Schuster, leading the practicing team of Arbitration & Alternative Dispute Resolution and International Trade & Customs.
For over 10 years now, he has been promoting the concept of dispute resolution through arbitration in both the academic and professional forums of Jalisco and the western part of Mexico. Today, he is one of the most active attorneys in the region.

Practice Area
Ruben Darío is experienced in national and international commercial arbitration. He has acted as both attorney and arbitrator under the regulations of the ICC, ICDR, CAM, CANACO and in ad hoc proceedings.
He has supported other lawyers and law professionals of different companies in designing alternative dispute resolution methods for a wide variety of complex conflicts, and he has been mediator in numerous ad hoc and administrative proceedings.
In the field of international trade, he advises parties in various aspects of private transactions, in regard to agreements, payment methods, Incoterms, guarantees, customs or usage of trade, among other matters.
He provides preventive advice and represents companies in proceedings and litigations of foreign trade, including fields such as customs, administration and taxes.

Professor of Alternative Dispute Solution in the Law School of the Universidad Panamericana, Guadalajara campus (2005 to date).
Professor of International Trade Law (2005-2012) and Private International Law (2012). Professor of International Sales Transactions of Goods (2010 to date) and Commercial Arbitration (2012 to date) for graduate studies at the Universidad Panamericana.
